Mikaela Monet is a Venezuelan actress, singer-songwriter who first made her acting debut on the Amazon Prime feature film, “El Sueño de Ayer/Mambo Dreams”, starring along side Mexican rock icon Ruben Albarrán, directed by award winning director Emilio Maillé. The film takes place in 2 time periods, allowing Mikaela to play 2 lead roles, both in the 1960 and in modern times. In the film, Mikaela utilized her background as a globally known singer-songwriter and performer in many of the musical parts of the movie, not only dancing but also creating and singing 3 songs for the movie’s original soundtrack.

 

Now, Mikaela is happy to be back on the screen in “Becoming Vera”, a coming of age drama directed by the well known Spanish director Sergio Vizuete. “I loved this role, it allowed me to experiment with a different side of me. Let’s say I woke that “Latin Villain” side I never thought I had in me for this. It was fun!”
